Hello, my name is Christine, founder & creator of Earth Angel Minerals Cosmetics. I started my company because I was so tired of wearing makeup that would cause me to break-out, it got to the point where I actually hated to wear makeup! I was excited to try the hot new trendy mineral makeup, so I bought one of those expensive kits from the Q & put it on my clean, moisturized skin! Well, I immediately started to itch, so bad that in fact my skin started to actually turn red & got really warm & I felt like I had to scratch my face...I didn't want to do that, so off it came! I was so disappointed!

I was a Pre-Pharmacy student at the time, so I had the resources available to do research on minerals & how they react with one another & how they act when applied to the skin. I found what ingredients worked best together & which ones to stay away from. Most importantly, the source of my severe reaction was discovered, bismuth oxychloride, a compound element. This is used by just about every National Branded Cosmetics Company. Read on to understand why this is not a good ingredient to use on your skin.

Bismuth is a by-product of lead or copper refining & is the only non-toxic heavy metal on the periodic table & chemically resembles arsenic. It is RARELY found in nature, but is considered a "Mineral". Due to the heaviness of bismuth, it may result in clogged pores, & of course irritated skin! Bismuth Oxychloride may accentuate pores and cause break-outs on sensitive, acne prone, and/or skin with rosacea! The main reason bismuth oxychloride is a favorite of national branded makeup companies, including the mineral makeup companies, is because it has an iridescent hue & a high shine component, & it's CHEAP!!! It is inexpensive to use & has binding qualities, helping the makeup bind or stick on to your skin…this is not a good reason to use this ingredient in mineral cosmetics! There are other minerals & botanicals that are just as effective at adhesion, and are far better for your skin!

Now with this in mind, you can see that all Mineral Makeup is not created equal! You really have to be active in reading the ingredient labels on all makeup, from the smallest of homemade cosmetics companies to the largest corporations! If the makeup you are trying doesn't have a label with the ingredients, don't use it! You should always be cautious of what you are placing on your skin, & especially around your eyes! Even when they say it is all natural, pure, organic, these are "BUZZ WORDS" that companies are using to get your business! Take the time to find out what the company philosophy is & what ingredients they are really using!

Minerals are popping up all over as the popularity of mineral makeup has increased! Remember, some homemade mineral companies as well as the large corporate companies are using fillers that are cheap irritants such as bismuth; parabens, corn starch & talc, and they are using actual synthetic dyes (LAKE & D&C) to get vibrant colors instead of actual natural pigments. Not at Earth Angel Minerals!

We only use the finest ingredients available, and our batches are made small, under a very strict sterile environment! I am a retired ICU nurse & am studying to become a Doctor of Pharmacy, so you can be sure that what you are getting from every jar of Earth Angel Mineral Cosmetics are just what we say they are! Every jar is labeled with the ingredients and sealed after dispensing at the sifter, then shrink wrapped for extra protection! Our makeup is always fresh & ready to wear! I do not use any ingredient that promotes bacterial growth, such as corn starch! Our color pigments are highly concentrated, so just a little dab will do for a sheer color application! Add more for an intense color, also try wet! Minerals are fun to play with, so the sky is the limit!

I am sorry, I DO NOT formulate FLUORESCENT colors. These are made with ingredients hat are NOT NATURAL, NOT MINERALS! These are not good to use around the face, lip & eye areas. I do not always use items that the FDA deems OK to use for general cosmetic use. The FLUORESCENT colors are made out of Lake/D&C Dyes. These are OK according to the FDA to use in blush & foundation colors, however, I do NOT feel it appropriate to use in anything that goes onto the body.

Your skin is the largest organ of your body, it has pores and I would like you to think of your skin as a large sponge...the pores will absorb anything you place on your skin! The ingredients you place on your skin will permeate into your body, and you always want to be aware of what you are placing on your skin! I want to offer my customers only ingredients that are good for you, nothing that could do harm to your body, so I will not be offering the hot trendy FLUORESCENT colors.

I do have a really popular color set called PRIMARY COLORS. I offer them in pastels & bolds. The colors are the Primary Colors on the Color Wheel, Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Green, & Purple. These are really fun & very SAFE to use! You will love them!

 I'm very impressed with the foundation...it stays on SO well and doesn't cause my daughter any irritation...she couldn't wear the BE...and the BUTTER CREAM Skin Balancer multi task mineral is wonderful ... hardly need any to cover up my purple under-eye circles!! I need much less EARTH ANGELS than BE and it covers better...and lasts longer...I never even wash it off until the next morning...it seems to protect my skin!  I don't have any issues with your makeup at all...the BE eye shadows sometimes make my eyes itch later in the day, but yours don't.

PS: I just have to say...people say my skin looks awesome!!!  Dewey is what my son's future mother-in-law called it...I told her it was the makeup....I look pretty bad without makeup anyway, but yours is SO good!!  It even makes someone in Stage IV look good!! Diane from New York

About two weeks ago, I decided to try your foundation. I bought samples of Sandy Beach Light and Cool Bisque, and you graciously sent me samples of several other shades - Tahitian Beige, Cocoa, regular Sandy Beach, and some others. I was putting on my foundation this morning, and was again pleased at the coverage and clean application, when I realized - I haven't actually told *you* this yet.

I decided to try your foundation because I'd had a previous good transaction with you, because BE's foundation was making my skin itch...and because you have a good range of foundation colors, and offered sample sizes as well as the smaller jars. I'm so very glad I did tried your foundation! The color matches better with my skintone (BE's Fair was a bit too orange-y, Medium was a bit too dark), the coverage is better, less of the product falls off my brush and onto my shirt...or drifts around the room; and my skin isn't even the slightest bit itchy or irritated. The foundation looks very smooth on my face, not at all powdery or cake-y. I use the swirl-tap-buff application method because I prefer to apply my makeup lightly, and buffing lets me apply in layers (so I can keep it lighter), and even applying it very lightly, the slight uneven coloration on my face is nicely smoothed out without my first applying spot cover-up. My foundation truly is the "foundation"! Plus the largest jar you have available gives more product than BE , and costs a bit less. It's a win-win situation - more product, better coverage, better color match, no irritation!

I am very glad I decided to try your foundations, and you've got a very happy customer. I'm very, very happy with Sandy Beach Light and Tahitian Beige!!

Wow, very nice & high end looking! Now to the makeup! I washed my face and moisturized just like the instructions suggested! I was so excited to try this new makeup and I have to tell you again…WOW! I LOVE this stuff! Great Job on your formula! Talk about easy coverage, I have some acne scars that I have a real problem trying to cover up. In the past I have had to use such a heavy feeling concealer and by the end of the day I just have to wash it off when I get home from work, so I was really hoping your makeup would work better for me & it really does! I concentrated some of the Cool Bisque Foundation like you suggested as a concealer on the hard to cover spots, and blended it out around the edges like you said to, then followed with the Cocoa Beach Foundation. I was so impressed with how easy it was to apply & it really feels so light on my face! And that Miracle Skin Prep! I loved how it smoo thed out my large pores!
